Gentle Yoga for Women (Includes Pre-Natal) with Sumati

A prenatal yoga class consists of modified physical postures (asanas) and posture awareness to help prevent and alleviate some of the common discomforts of pregnancy.
The class is designed to prepare you for labor and delivery by encouraging you to explore postures that are comfortable and empowering to you. Breathing practices are learned that can help you calm the body and mind, cleanse (purify) the nerves, lower blood pressure, reduce stress, and manage fears and anxieties for the future. Relaxation techniques are also done, including visualization, to help you focus on connecting to and communicating with your growing baby.
Yoga is an ideal practice that brings you more deeply in touch with your body, mind, emotions, and spirit, all of which go through profound changes during pregnancy. This is a great way to maintain equilibrium and to tune into and trust in your inner strength and wisdom.
