Fun and games at Yoga themed birthday party

Mommy and Me yoga

Level 1 Yoga - Yoga For the Beginner
Level 1 Yoga is perfect for new practitioners. Classes offer basic instruction of yoga practice, an introduction to correct breathing and postures (asanas) as well as a gentle flow to accustom yourself to the practice and become familiar with your body's needs and abilities.

Level 2 Yoga - Beginner to Intermediate Yoga
This class is designed to take students to the next step in their yoga practice while still being open for the beginner to feel comfortable.

Level 3 Yoga - Intermediate to Advanced Yoga
This class is designed for the more experienced practitioner.

Sun Salutations Flow - Sun Salutations Flow is a constant flowing class that moves from the most basic sun salutations through the more advanced Surya Namaskaram A & B with several variations.

Family Yoga - A fun way to bring the whole family together. Using fun yoga poses, it's a great way to get everyone involved in an activity together. (This class is donation only.)

Kid's Yoga - This class teaches children how to respect and connect with their bodies, as well as those around them. The poses show how to stretch and strengthen every part of their body, increasing body awareness and building self-esteem. The classes offer students tools to release their thoughts and de-stress in an environment that is suitable for their active bodies and minds. (Specialty Class - please check to see if this class is presently on our schedule)

Mommy & Me - Every mother needs time to herself but it can be hard to find the time. This class is designed to let moms practice yoga, release the stresses of the week and find some peace of mind while children learn not to be completely dependant on mom 24/7. Plus, there's no need to find a babysitter as your child is right there with you! (Specialty Class - please check to see if this class is presently on our schedule)

Prenatal Structured - These classes are open to pre-natal women. Pre-natal women can find comfort in know that the instructor will modify physical postures (asanas) to help prevent and or relieve some common discomforts of pregnancy. If you are pregnant and attending a class, please let the instructor know that you are pregnant and how far along in your pregnany you are.



Dance Classes

Beginner Bellydance - This is a basic class designed for the beginning student. Classes begin with a warm up to shape the
body, increase flexibility and tone and strengthen the muscles of the lower and upper body. Then students are taught individual
moves of bellydance technique as well as the foundation skills of isolating each part of the body. Each class is designed to balance
the entire body, improve coordination and increase stamina.

All Levels Bellydance - The all levels classes are more advanced than the beginner classes. Beginners are welcome to join but we recommend that you have one or two classes under your belt first. The class follows the same routine as the beginner, but with
more advanced moves and elaborate choreography.

Bellydance Fitness & Technique - Bellydance is a great workout. If you are interested in getting in shape and having fun along the way, this class is for you! Bellydance Fitness aims to strengthen the core muscles of the body, a benefit for every woman. This is also balanced by focusing on the technique of bellydance. In this class we will break down moves to perfect technique. Good for students of all levels.

All Levels Tribal Fusion - Tribal Bellydance is a bellydance style whose roots are American. Over time this style has broadened and become infused with different cabaret and ethnic styles so the term Tribal Fusion was adopted. This class teaches the varying mix that Tribal Fusion encompases. You will learn new moves and how to put a new spin on the Middle Eastern Bellydance moves you may already know.

Night Club Dance - Looking for a workout? Love to dance? Why not put the two together? Night Club Dance is a fun,energetic, aerobic hour of exercise that does not feel like work. With a relaxed atmosphere and music varying from theme songs and swinging 'oldies' to the latest pop hits, you're bound to find yourself singing along and forgetting you came for the exercise.

Intro to Hula Hoop Dance - Spin your way to improved health and happiness with Hoop Dancing! This class teaches the fundamentals of hoop dance as well as mesmerizing tricks that you can incorporate into your own dance style. Strengthen your body as you learn to spin the hoop around your waist, neck hands and legs. Let go, medidate and relieve stress as you discover your inner rhythm. Hoop dance is the perfect mind/body exercise for getting fit and having fun! No experience necessary!

Intro to Hip Hop Dance - Get ready for a great, energetic workout with upbeat music, warm ups and dance combinations. Build your cardio, strength, flexibility and coordination, all the while exploring this modern style of dance. Build confidence within your dance range and then get ready to hit the club!

 

Other Classes

Tai Chi - Qigong is the science of cultivating the body’s internal energy (called Qi in Chinese). The Chinese have been researching Qi for the last four thousand years, finding Qigong to be an effective way to improve health and cure many illnesses. Most significantly, they have found that it can help to achieve both mental and spiritual peace. The Qigong-Taiji (TaiChi) class will utilize the Qigong practices of TaiChi: Primary Set; rocking set, walking set, coiling set, taiji ball, taiji symbol training, Taoist breathing techniques, etc…eventually leading to the Yand Style Long Form (Yang Ban-ho).
