Heather Dolgin
Having trained at the Kripalu School of Yoga, Heather Dolgin is a Certified Kripalu Yoga instructor. In addition, she is a Certified Prenatal Yoga instructor, a Reiki Master, and a Kripalu DansKinetics instructor. Heather continues to further her practice and study of yoga by taking classes from many different teachers as well as creating her own practice. She believes that through the physical practice of yoga which is done on the mat, we learn tools to help us live our lives more peacefully and more fullfilled. Heather also recently began teaching yoga in a women's prison and hopes to further spread the love of yoga to all those open to receive. [back

Sumati
Sumati has a NYS dual teaching certification in Regular and Special Eduaction, a Master's in Counseling, and professional Yoga Certifications in Yoga for Adults, the Special Needs Child, Prenatal, Postpartum, and Labor/Delivery. She has studied the developmental processes of children and adults, and has also worked as a Mental Health Coordinator; creating individualized goals for children that are at risk for being hospitalized and removed from their homes.
For the last 8 years Sumati has been exploring yoga through her own personal practice, and by teaching yoga classes to children and adults of all ages. Presently, Sumati teaches Prenatal, All Levels, and Beginner yoga classes at the center; and she incorporates all of her personal experiences and knowledge from all of her professional certifications and trainings into each class. Her knowledge and understanding continues to grow as she works with more and more children and adults in a hands-on teaching environment.[back

Andrea Garvey
Andrea Garvey is a certified yoga instructor in the lineage of the Himalayan Yogis. A student of yoga for over 30 years, she wished to share her love of yoga with others through teaching. For the past 14 years, Andrea has taught various styles of yoga including; Bikram-style, power-style, vinyasa as well as gentle and chair yoga. She is also a Holistic Health Counselor certified by the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and is a member of the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. In addition, Andrea is a certified 2nd degree Reiki practioner. Currently, she maintains a private yoga and counseling practice and lectures locally on health and nutrition. Andrea is also the mother of two and lives in Huntington. [back to top] |

Sundari
Sundari is a free spirit who enjoys teaching others about the simple yet profound benefits of regular yoga and meditation practices. She utilizes time tested techniques to encourage others to open up to the joy in their daily lives. Sundari began practicing yoga as a teenager, but her practice really expanded when she spent her mid-twenties traveling the world, investigating eastern religions and holistic health. She is a certified Hatha Yoga teacher from the Sivananda lineage and teaches classes that incorporate the Eight Limbs of Raja Yoga. Leslie Van Bell
Leslie began practicing yoga in the year 2000, when she was pregnant with her first child. However, it was not until she began practicing at Inner Spirit that she learned that yoga is much more than a physical practice but a way to live life.
Leslie is a Certified Hatha Yoga instructor and is thrilled to be teaching at Inner Spirit while she continues to explore and deepen her own personal yoga practice. Her classes focus on instilling feelings of empowerment and fostering the belief that yoga can enhance each student’s life. It is Leslie’s goal for each of her students to feel welcome, at ease, educated and inspired. She hopes to provide the tools for her students to progress on their own personal journeys, while experiencing all that yoga has to offer.

Tara Murphy
At the age of 3, Tara discovered her love of dance. Over 2 years ago, she began studying Middle Eastern Bellydance and found her passion. Tara has created a very ecletic and unique style all her own, incorperating tradtional caberet and the more modern Tribal Fusion style. She has trained exclusively with her teacher Roni, as well as other world renowned dancers such as Rachel Brice, Heather Stants, and Mimi Fontana. This training has led Tara to creatively infuse her classes with fresh perspectives and modern music.[back to top]

Rhonda Daniels
Rhonda is an Interfaith Minister who is certified in Reiki, Jin Shin Tao, Karuna Reiki Healing, and currently awaiting a LIFSI Certification in Feng Shui. Rhonda Daniels is thrilled to be working at the Inner Spirit as a Belly Dance Instructor and Women’s Circle facilitator. Having trained with Roni Yaari, she merges her experience in Modern and Jazz dance with the middle-eastern styles of Bellydance. Rhonda has a Dance Minor Degree from USF in Tampa, FL. As a choreographer, she has worked with several performing groups throughout the L.I area. Rhonda formerly choreographed for the Sweet Adeline International Chorus, training a performing choir of over 75 women to compete annually in the organization’s Regional Contest. She currently choreographs for the LI Cabaret Theater Group, under the musical direction of Bill Holland. As a musical theater actress, Rhonda can be seen on many community theater stages on LI.[back to top] |

Serena Spears
Well known as a freestyle club dancer from the age of 15, Serena developed her own style of dance from watching other dancers at clubs and music videos. She also took dance classes in African, salsa, hiphop, popping, locking and jazzfunk at several studios. After training for a short while as a dance major at C.W. Post, Serena found that, rather than the classical styles of dance, the exotic styles have always been her true calling. Known for her own style that fuses African, hiphop, salsa, house, and bellydance among others, Serena has turned Club Dancing into the hottest new aerobic workout. [back to top]

Jim Harvey
Jim has worked as a gymnastics coach/teacher for over 40 years. He has also received many different types of martial arts training. For 14 years he studied TaijiChuan and White Crane Kung-Fu with Dr. Yang, Jwing Ming. He has also studied Brazilian JuJitsu with Gracie, Cantonese Kung-Fu and Okanowan Karate. Now he is passing on his learning through his Tai Chi-Qigong classes at Inner Spirit. [back to top]
